Sky Talk Issue
On 7 th of May 2010 I called sky customer services to cancel my sky talk and BroadBand.
They persuaded me that I am on a free offer until end of june so that I can come back at the end of June( 29th) to cancel.
Now on 8 th of June without a notice or informing me they disconnected my sky talk and my telephone line has been deactivated.
But still my broadband is working. When I contacted sky to enable my line , they said there is not much they can do as line has been deactivated
and need to contact BT to enable my line. I contacted BT for the line info. BT said still the line is with SKY.
Inorder to enable or activate my fone line BT is charging me £125 ( one off fee).
I lodged a complaint with sky CS but they said it will take 2-3 weeks for investigation, until then I have to wait.
My question is how can my BroadBand can work without an active telephone line.
I requested them to check my calls and conversations as they might have recorded for quality and training purpose.
Can you please suggest what can I do to resolve this.

Re: Sky Talk Issue
We also had major Issues getting Sky talk and Broadband cut - off ! We were moving home and gave Sky lots of notice to transfer service to our new place but three months later were still connected at our old address . Endless calls to Sky and threatening letters ( Ofcom ) still didnt work - we were given loads of credits to our account and apologies but basically its a hopeless service - once installed its fine but be very very careful of their after care service ! We got the impression they have to pay BT to cut the service which they didnt want to do - but obviously they would never admit to that !! The home moving depot is totally unapproachable - how convenient :-) and they can only be contacted by Sky themselves via e- note
Ask lots of questions before signing up and read the small print carefully - my advice is to not bother . I like Sky TV itself but call it at that thanks
