      Ive been slammed! livid! sky are useless!

      Hi

      I had a Bt openreach man come to my door the other day saying I reported a falt at my adress but I did not!

      He then told me my landline number wich was wrong and I thought he was not a real bt man but when I checked my phone my numer had changed!

      Apprantly a customer in hilton has signed up with bt the opereach engineer had managed to clash the two adresses mine and his its wiped out our phone number weve had for 15yrs and replaced ours with a new one that should be his!

      Sky wont help at all and said this is BTs issue yet ofcom says its skys!

      What can I do to resolve this my broadband is even going out now because it cant find my old Sky talk number sky are saying my line rental is now with BT yet ive never requested this and the other guy is gettin billed for phone calls im makeing but under his name and adress!!

      Any ideas?

      right, if you've been slammed, then your line has been taken over by someone else without your permission. This you know.

      if this affected your broadabnd as well, then Sky will be in the process of cancelling your services with them.

      What you need to do is get BT, who whether you like it or not, are your current provider, to change your number back to the old one, and allow you to move back to Sky at no cost. You then have to re-order your Sky services. I'd also be requesting a little compensation for the hassle

      Sky can't do anything other than accept your new order for the products.

      How can OFCOM say its Sky fault that BT slammed you? BT now own the line and Sky can do nothing about it as they are not allowed to touch the line.BT have screwed up, BT need to put it right whether it takes and email to the head honcho to sort it or not.

      Also a trip to citiznes advice for some legal help with this may be in order.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      Yep one way or another you may need to force BT to rectify their mistake here.

      Any resolve with this to the OP as I have just been slammed. Was with Sky, but don't know who I am with now and have no dial tone or broadband :/

      Running a small business from home and losing 30/hour
