      Leaving sky line rental?

Ive been reading up about big fees if you leave Sky talk while paying them line rental. It all gets a bit confusing though. I have sky tv and sky talk with phone line with sky too. If i wanted to go back to BT for my line rental but keep my calls with sky would i have to expect a big bill? The SVBN ive been reading about sounds like its all done via skys own equipment in the exchange but my exchange does not have sky LLU, does this mean im still using BT equipment and so could move back to BT without a reconnection charge? My exchange is Clowne. My broadband is with Plusnet if it makes any difference.

Hi just had a letter from Bt saying that Switching is easy
All it takes is phone call .And because you`ve already got your land line with Bt.switching will be quick and simple. Our advisers will help you switch easily without a break in your Broadband connection. That I assume is because of being on connect which uses Bt equipment.

Sorry, not changed my status, im not on Connect anymore. My land line is with Sky, calls are with sky but my broadband is with Plusnet. Since my broadband is not on sky equipment does that mean my land line is not on sky equipment and so i am free to move to Bt/Plusnet/Post Office for my land line?

Hi I hope all goes well with Plusnet. why not give Bt a call and ask about your land line. From the letter I recieved from BT
      Switching is easy
All it takes is phone call .And because you`ve already got your land line with Bt.switching will be quick and simple. Our advisers will help you switch easily without a break in your Broadband connection.
I have Sky talk unlimited and Sky line. So Bt from the letter are saying that my land line is still BTs

      Re: Leaving sky line rental?

You cannot be on the new SVBN system because Sky don't have their equipment in the exchange, so moving your line will be simpler and there should be no huge re-connection fees I think BT offer a free returning service.

As you don't have your BB with Sky, I don't think you can ever be put on the SVBN system even if they do eventually fit it to the exchange because your current suppliet (Plusnet) require a BT line.

      Re: Leaving sky line rental?

Plusnet said there is no date set for the exchange to be upgraded to 21CN so i doubt Sky will put their equipment into the box while it is outdated.

Hi it should have been upgraded
19/10/2006 BT have set a target date of Q3 2009 for the switch to 21CN for the Clowne exchange
So I would have thought it would be like the majority March 2010
