Sky line has suddenly gone dead!

Right bear with me as I am trying to give you as much info as I can

We have been with Sky talk for wall over 18 months, and in the past 8 we switched to their line rental due to it being cheaper than BT

The line has been working fine touch wood until this morning, we made some outbound calls then about an hour later the line died, when I call the line I get to the crappy sky answer service

We pay all our bills on time by direct debit, also sky tv is not affected

We also have sky bb but with the line being down that is not on.

Obviously I am gonna give it some time before contacting their premium rate number on my contract phone incase they are ironing out the line or some crap!

I have unplugged all the equipment and tested the corded phone on the master socket, still no dial tone.

      Any suggestions?

I spoke to soon! As soon as I finished this post I rang up home and it was working!

It was only down for about 3 hours but it felt like that episode of south park when they lose their internet!

Maybe there was some work going on at the exchange?

Could have been being swapped to the SVBN.
