      Problems with Sky telephone

      Hi, just wondered if anyone is experiencing problems with their Sky telephone line. For the last couple of weeks when I answer the phone I can hear my own voice echoing, I am being told that when people telephone me they sometimes get an echo too or the phone transfers to Sky answer machine. I have also been speaking on the phone and it has gone completely dead. I have phoned Sky up three times regarding this and they did a line check and said everything seems ok and other times I am left waiting to speak to someone for over 25 minutes and not being very patient I have put the phone down. The funny thing is a friend who is also on Sky Talk is also experiencing this problem. Does anyone out there know what I could do to fix this probelm, could I ask Sky to come out to look at my phone line etc.

      Also seem to be having the same issue the past few weeks, our broadband got upgraded by sky around the same sort of time (from the 16 to 20) so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I have the same problem you mentioned but it doesn't happen every time only sometimes.

      Hello,
      I have been without being able to make any calls except to Sky since October 2, 2009 and today is October 21! Yes, I have Sky rental, Sky Talk, etc....Sky has unfortuantely not been help*** at all. They said that it is an IT problem and would be solved within 72hrs, then they said it would be resolved within 14 days and now that both deadlines have passed, they have said that it could take up to 1 month.
      Therefore, we have had NO choice but to transfer our line rental to BT.
      It has been unbelievable being without a phone and using our mobile sto make evry call especially having children, emergencies, etc...
      Has anyone eles had this type of issue with Sky? We are now thinking of switiching over completely to BT.
      I would appreciate any feedback.

      Hi, yes I do have sky rental, this does not happen to every call I receive but most of them. I wonder if it will get sorted out by sky or do I have to call them again and ask them to come and look at my connections!!

      I sounds like an exchange problem, maybe a lose connection that sometimes parts and so lose your phone.

      Hi I've been having a similar problem, the phone line just went dead yesterday morning, so no phone or broadband,am already on max for broadband, hate having to ring premium number on mobile, hope to get money back for bill. Have Bern kept waiting, don't know if there is anything wrong with the exchange, am actually holding on now in a queue waiting for someone from the technical department. Am in Manchester City Centre, any ideas as Im losing work and money, help!

      Okay have just about had enough of the lame excuses, and apparently no supervisor available to talk to, how am I supposed to send an email with no broadband access and then for them to say send a letter, have they heard of the postal strike. First someone was meant to get back yesterday, now 72 hours and if what I've read on here is anything to go by.... maybe up to a month!!! Have they breached their t and c's as I would like to cancel my contract, but have only had it for 3 months, am so sorry for ranting but am really peeved!!
