Sky Line Rental & Talk Unlimited

I was with BT until, well, today.
To cut a long story short, I fell behind with my last bill & was charged for reconnection which in turn put me behind with this one & I was cut off from incoming calls today.

So, I was thinking of signing up with Sky as I already have Tv & Broadband & all my bills would be together.

I am going to look through this forum but was wondering, is it a good service?
I would go for Talk Unlimited. Would I be £10/month line rental + £5 month Talk Unlimited & that's it, are there any othger charges? I realise that if I call 0870 or 0845 then there will be charges but does the £ cover landlines all over the UK.

      Thanks for reading.

Extract from Sky Talk charges -
      1. UK calls apply to 01, 02 and 03 numbers only (excluding the Channel Islands). Calls from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland are charged at UK rates. Unlimited calls last up to an hour, after which 4p per minute rates apply, or you can hang up and redial as often as you like. Subject to Acceptable Use Policy – see sky.com/skytalk.
Plus International calls to about 20 destinations.

I think you'll have to clear your debt with BT first (telecomms companies share customer information).

      Linky

Read the small print down on the left-hand side. 0870 is included there.

I must have been in the last few days, it wasn't there when I pasted the info in post #2.

      Thanks for all the replies.

The BT line isn't actually in my name, it's in my daughters so not sure how that would work.

As it stands though, I called Sky this morning & cancelled the Broadband as I decided to get things sorted out before I get another line.

      Thanks again.
