      Numpties in charge of SkyTalk?

Over 2 weeks of having the phone installed (BT Openzone for SkyTalk inc. line rental). Phone works. But no SkyTalk shows up under "mySky" on their website and even though I've ordered them twice, 1571 and CallerID still don't work.

      What to do?

Phone them and remind them. When I migrated to Sky Talk the voicemail and caller display options were rejected by the system because "they were entered too soon", or so I was told.

At that time it was not possible to order these options via the web - annoying.

Re: Numpties in charge of SkyTalk?

It took EIGHT weeks to get my phone service to show as active on the Sky systems, in this time I made at least a dozen calls to Sky asking for them to set number withheld on my line - absolutely useless, customer service is a joke. I'm told now (just yesterday in fact) that there has been a fault on their system and it should now be on in 72hours.... so I'll them Monday then when it still doesn't work. I can't wait for Virgin to get cable installed at my new house so I can have my 20mb broadband back and proper service from a proper company !
If you have issues then by all means keep calling them, don't hold your breath though, they simply don't care !!!

Re: Numpties in charge of SkyTalk?

On May 3rd joined Skytalk May 19th told would be connected then they said may 21st. May 21st 9am cant make or receive calls 9.30 call sky, advisor says we are in dispute with BT over your number we will write to you with in 10 working days to explain' uh..I dont think so! so 11am connected... no caller display no 1571. call back through a mass of automated services which just put you into the wrong dept or CUT YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!! TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! A mass amount of calls to sky, 5 DIFFERENT reasons as to why they could not add the services and to top it off they finished our broadband with BT which we had NOT asked them to do. June 26th they finally got the 1571 and caller display to work. With o2 now and they are just fantastic! Just a shame they don't do landline phone service yet.
