      Sky Talk Itemised Call Charges

      Hi,

My bill of 2nd May had wildly incorrect call durations for the last couple of weeks in April, e.g. 33:42:58, 55:33:34, 70:36:26, 86:19:43 and even ###:30:28 (presumably meaning that the number of hours had too many digits to display). Four calls of duration greater than 2 days!

I spoke to Customer Support about three weeks ago, but it was clear they could find no info. on this type of problem. A return call was promised; I am not holding my breath.

Has anyone else had any problems with itemised charges?

I have just had a look at mine, it looks like there is something wrong with their times. I have several over 5 hours and one of 7 hours to a mobile. Fortunately it seems that it is just the duration figure that is wrong, as the charge for the mobile call was 18p. All my other calls are free anyway.

Yes, I think we only need to worry when that call of over 7 hours to a mobile is inadvertently billed as 18,000,000.00 instead of 18p

Re: Sky Talk Itemised Call Charges

Thanks for pointing out the other thread - I searched for "itemised call" only, and missed it.

The problem seems common, but still the telephone support people seem not to be aware.

But, as pointed out elsewhere, at least it is only the durations that are screwed up, not the charges - or does that come with next month's bill...?

Re: Sky Talk Itemised Call Charges

From Prasad at Sky Help Centre in response to my query by e-mail about "unusual" call durations on the Sky Talk part of the monthly bill:

"I'd like to confirm that the call duration shown on your Sky Talk bill is due to a technical error which will be rectified as early as possible. The technical error has been a know issue and our team is working on the same. I appreciate your patience while this is taking place and I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."
