      Of more concern are

      SKY Call charges - UK

      0844 numbers: 6p connection + up to 5p
      per minute
      0870 numbers: 6p connection + up to 8p
      per minute

Call charges from BT landlines correct as at June 2008. Calling Sky 0844 numbers is free for Sky Talk customers. Charges for calls from mobile phones and other networks may vary. Please note that calls may be monitored or recorded for training purposes.

No, I don't think they will follow BT!

Most companies seem to be moving to 0844 numbers anyway and those calls are chargeable on both BT and Sky.

Find an alternative geographic number via SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers - most companies have one or more!

Most companies will always change to the more profitable lines. Ofcom should stop being a pseudo watchdog and actually grow some balls and cap this crap.

Er, more concern than that (unless Sky has reduced its prices).

0844 numbers: 8p connection + up to 5p per minute
0845 numbers: 8p connection + up to 6p per minute
0870 numbers: 8p connection + up to 10p per minute

Re: will sky follow BT and talktalk and make 0845/0870 numbers free?

      Hi,

To be honest I don’t know what exactly is happening to BT. It’s going from being a British symbol to something all together sporadic. Sky is more the trustable brand. I think they got the brand awareness and quality aspect under control. Talk Talk is too newish to cope with these guys, maybe in the long run.

      Regards,

      Aden
