Infuriating isn't it! For me this issue has been continuing since 29 April 2009. Quite what the difficulty is I just can't imagine. I've tried every avenue open to me including customer relations, who were quite proactive on my behalf. But still could not solve this problem as yet...

      Re: Caller Display

When I dialled #234# this morning, the voice message said the caller display function would be switched off. There was no mention of whether or not the caller display service is available.

Of course, I cannot tell what it does if the line has not been activated for caller display.

Dial -Star-Hash-234-Hash, you are missing out the Star.

      Re: Caller Display

      Slight change today...

Today, when I dial 1571, I receive this message:

"This line does not have a call answering service".

[This is what I normally hear - but today there is the following extension:]

"For further information on messaging services, please contact your service provider.

If you want to order the basic 1571 answering service for this line, press (1) now."

      [Presses (1)]

"Welcome to the BT Answer order line. BT Answer is the answering service for your phone line that is free to customers who make chargeable calls with BT..."

Called 150 to check the line is with Sky - it is...

I assume that as the BT 1280 dial out number no longer works with Sky line rentals, this service if I selected it would remain chargeable.

Needless to say Caller ID, is still not working....

      Re: Caller Display

Had not heard from Customer Relations for over a month so tried to ring them back on the following number: 02077053000 - speaking to the receptionist at the other end of this number today, she tells me that they are no longer able to transfer your call to Customer Relations, but she gave me the normal contact 08442414141.

After three transfers, eventually spoke to a "Resolutions Manager" - apparently the services I requested were again cancelled on the 21 May 2009 (Cease Request). The cease request will first need to be removed, and this is likely to take 5 working days etc etc etc...

Hi did you ring at the weekend as they do not work Saturdays and Sundays. The receptionist would have put you through at the weekend if someone was available Monday to Friday and you should have no problem. Here is the locations first head office which has the telephone number( Have also left post on Unimpressed)

      Thanks steve16751.

I'd always phoned them on a Saturday, and they always phoned me back on a Saturday, so I had assumed they would be there.

Also listening to the recording of this mornings call, the receptionists exact words are:

"We no longer can transfer calls to Customer Relations, you need to do it via Customer Services. [on 08442414141]"

Phoned the 02077053000 number twice to double check this.
