    Line rental worry

    This is a discussion on Line rental worry within the Sky Talk forums, part of the Other Sky help and support category; I have opted for this and BT say it will be switched on the 14th Sky say 15th is this ...

      Line rental worry

      I have opted for this and BT say it will be switched on the 14th Sky say 15th is this anything to be concerned about anyone done this ?

      I take it from your post that you are switching your line rental from BT to Sky.
      It will mean that if you have a problem with your line in the future you would have to contact sky and then sky would contact BT about the problem to get it fixed.

      It probably just means you will be billed by BT until the 14th and Sky will take over the billing on the 15th. I would not imagine your line will be cut off for any time as nothing physical is actually done, just accounting adjustments.

      Ok ta, lets hope so when sky took over the bb I lost it for 6 weeks !!!

      mine goes to sky on the 24th, I hope my line doesnt go off for a short while as its taken me ages to sync my bb to 16mb speed.

      The letter said there would be no interruption of service when Sky Talk goes live and, indeed, there was no interruption to broadband service nor any perceptible interruption to voice service on the day that my Sky Talk went live!

      When I switched the only noticeable change was my line rental became part of my monthly Sky bill. Eventually BT repaid my outstanding balance on the line rental they took 3 months in advance.
