Unless you are on Sky Talk Unlimited then it is still free

Or, to put it another way, unless you pay an extra 5 per month for Sky Talk Unlimited - whereupon such calls will remain inclusive.

What's the big deal? It will still be no charge for Freetime customers to call Sky's 0844 numbers at evenings & weekends. No need to pay for Unlimited just to get those free calls if you don't use the phone much or at all during the day Mon - Fri!

It's worth it to me! The free calls to USA and Canada, including mobiles, more than pays the 5 a month. I don't use the other free internationals, but I am sure many do.

Bear in mind that calling USA and Canadian mobiles costs the same to call as their landlines - i.e. p per minute via one 0844 gateway or 1p per minute via 18185 or other 0844 gateways.

So, do you make 1000 minutes (16 hours, 40 minutes) or even 500 minutes (8 hours 20 minutes) of calls each month to USA and/or Canada?

Re: Sky Talk Free time Price Increases

I think it is probably around 5-6 hours a month, but there are other calls as well. I know that my phone bill dropped by over 10 a month when I moved to ST Unlimited.
I know you are an expert on cheap phones calls and give good advice on several forums, but I want a service where I (or more often my wife) can pick up the phone and dial a number, without having to think 'now is this the cheapest way to do it? STU gives me that for 5 a month which I am quite happy to pay, it's a lot less than I used to pay BT.
