      Sending CLI

My Line provider is BT and I am signed up to Sky Talk.

Sending caller line ID is important to me and I need it to reliably work.

It's a bit hit and miss at the moment in that sometimes an outgoing call will send it sometimes it does not and it comes up withheld or private number.

Is there a work round or solution to this. If I need to contact the telco do I speak to sky or BT? If it's sky does anyone have a contact number?

      Thanks for any responses.

Your line provider is BT but your (default) outgoing calls provider is Sky (by way of the CPS [Carrier PreSelect] system).

Hence incoming call issues (incl. 1471, 1571, Call Divert) need to be discussed with BT and outgoing call issues need to be discussed with Sky.

      Re: Sending CLI

My mother uses 18185 with an autodialler (she isn't a Sky subscriber, btw), and when she phones up, my caller ID gizmo randomly displays one of the following…
      1. the normal area code + her subscriber number, or
      2. like a. but with the initial 0 of the area code replaced by 0044, or
      3. just INTERNATIONAL with no number at all, or
      4. UNAVAILABLE
Presumably, 18185 chose the route according to whatever happens to be cheapest at that time. I wouldn't be too surprised if Sky do something similar.
