      Anyone help with a Charging question please

      Hi all

      Looked at my account for the first time online and I note two payments for Sky Talk and Sky TV.

      Had Sky TV installed on the 15th Febraury and they appear to charge a full month, is this correct.

      But worst is

      Sky Talk went live on 29th February and they appear to have charged 5.17 line rental for one day!!!!

      Please help if you can.

      I would imagine that as with BT and most other phone providers, it's payable in advance, therefore 1 month and 1 day.

      I took Sky Talk on or around 14 January. My 7 February bill showed a Sky Talk Unlimited charge of 1.95. This appear to be proportionate to the provision of the service during January. note that the charge is in arrears and that there is no advance charge.

      However, it may be that line rental is chargeable in advance (as it is for BT). So you have paid for one month line rental in advance and one day in arrears.

      I think I can understand the Sky TV charge. But fail to understand the Sky Talk charge this is because no dates have been given for the charges.

      There are two separately charges in the March bill. Payment due March 15th.

      Both say

      Sky Talk Line Rental 10.00
      Sky Talk Line Rental 5.17

      Anyone able to view there first month's bill to see how they were charged?

      Ah, just looked at what I have typed and I think I may have got it

      5.17 is for line rental 29th February to 15th March and as you say a month in advance would mean 10.00 15th March to 15th April. It is a pity they do not put dates on the bill for Sky Talk you have to use the dates for Sky TV - well I hope that's how it all works.

      If anyone thinks I have not got this wrong would they be so kind as to let me know.

      I think you have got it, but I do agree that Sky is not quoting the date boundaries for each charge.
