      BT together still charging?

      Hi folks

      We signed over to sky on 27/12 - and I'm sure they said they would cancel the Bt together for us.

      But BT took the 25 in mid December and have done it again on the 12th this month.

      What would anyone advise? should we just cancel the DD? ring sky? ring BT? what should we do about getting the money back?

      Any help would be greatly appreciated?

      Stephen

      Get in touch with your bank, they are very good these days at recovering funds on your behalf that have been withdrawn after you have changed providers. NatWest recovered funds for me when i changed utility suppliers but the old company kept taking payments!!!

      I think I've answered my own question...

      I found the letter BT sent to us saying out provider had changed. Lost within the text was 'we won't change your bt together plan for you - but option 1 would be the best choice'

      So - I've changed it online and altered the DD online too.

      <sigh>

      missed that bit of info

      Many people changing to a CPS calls provider (i.e. sensibly not moving their line rental from BT too) overlook that and some also overlook cancelling BT's International and/or Call Mobile add-ons.

      I've now added a sentence to paragraph [1] of my '6-steps' to cost reduction for BT residential landline subscribers post to emphasise those points.

      Thank you for this posting.

      I hadn't realised either that is was necessary to force a downgrade.

      When I did this online the system told me that I already had an order in progress.

      I then spend 66 minutes on the 'phone to BT and spoke to four people only to be told that my downgrade had been ordered.

      A worthwhile headsup!
