      Sky talk question

I am thinking of changing my broadband package to Sky from orange.

I will be ordering Sky + as well but the problem is I'm tied with BT for my phone line until MAY 08.

My question is this.........can I take out Sky + and Broadband now, and then when my 12 month contract is up with BT take out Sky Talk with no additional charge with Sky, or will sky charge me extra because I'm not taking all three up in one go ?

      Thanks in advance

i'd keep the BT line myself (but not sure how this may affect your package if at all)

You can do everything now except Sky Broadband--then apply for SKY-BroadBand in May.Stay with BT for Line Rental,if your Direct Debit with BT rental is 10.50 per month-- Sky is 10.If your Line goes faulty, you ring Sky on those expensive 08702 Nos, instead of Free `151` call--can you imagine the aggro with Sky, to get the Line Fixed.

I (as always) go a stage further with the "Leave the line rental with BT and just use Sky Talk as your Carrier PreSelect calls provider" advice because, in effect, you roll over and put yourself at Sky's mercy for whatever prices they choose to charge for non-inclusive calls if you hand over your line rental too. For the sake of 50p/month, it's just not worth the risk (e.g. Sky's prices for calling UK mobiles are easily beaten by 18185's).

Carrier PreSelect (CPS) is explained in THIS POST.

See the 'HERE' link below for more detail.
