      BT Together option

Hi, I have just joined Sky including Sky Talk, its not changed over yet and before it does, BT has asked me which BT Together option I want. I thought all that I need to pay BT is line rental? Do I have to pick an option or are they simply trying to squeeze more money out of me?

      Welcome sasWilson

You are correct all you need to pay BT is for line rental.
All your outgoing calls are on Sky Talk and you just use your
phone as normal. Not all are covered by the 5 charge.
So there are times when you may want to “hop back to BT” by
      dialing 1280 before the number.
Some numbers like those beginning with 08 and 09 and some overseas
calls are better going through BT according to some who post in the
      Sky Talk forum.

You want BT Together Option 1.
I think you can save a little by agreeing to paperless bills.

Correct, anyone using a CPS provider should ensure they are on BT's cheapest option - BT Together Option 1.

That costs 11/month if paid by DD (12.50/month if not) and a further 50p/month can be saved by opting for paper-free billing.

      newskyBod,
A number of posts claim that Sky charges for 0800 numbers.
That's why you must type in 1280 before 08 and 09 numbers.

If this is true, I would never switch my line rental to Sky.
Although I rarely ring Sky it really grates that even if you
are on Sky Talk you pay for calls to Sky.
It's not big money for me but the Sky policy is very customer unfriendly.
Luckily you can cancel Sky Talk without penalty.
So I am watching my Sky Talk bills carefully.

      Cancel Sky Broadband? Never.
      Cancel Sky Talk? Maybe.
