      My son has just commented that for me to have two connections for the internet sounds like a disaster! He reckons that if it can go wrong on my 'puter it will go wrong so I may just close down the NTL service and rely on my neighbour if I need to access this site should it go wrong.

      He works in IT and dreads me ringing him with problems! No wonder he moved to Surrey.

      That was certainly the situation a year and a half ago when we moved into a house with a BT socket, as long as it is a modern type socket, ie one that takes a phone with a standard plug.
