Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

      Hiya,
Have I got this right, If you have Sky World with movies & sports & HD+ I will still have to pay 10 for HD?? but if I have ESPN then my HD is Free ( Ok I understnad you still pay 10 for ESPN).
If this is the case why are Sky being unfair to people by having them take a channel from another company which in all fairness shows nothing but sports from USA????

Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

I cancelled my Sky Sports pack for the summer period and I'm feeling a great financial benefit. Increasing the prices across the board and hammering Sport means I'm more likely to cut further packages rather than reinstate Sport in September with prices set to will rise by another 2.5% in January.

Sky - you are just about to kill your golden goose.

I am not currently paying 64 for that ?

I have 3 Pack with Premium Pack & pay 45.50 (then 10) so your missing some combination discounts somewhere which don't get reflected on a statement. So thats 7.50 adrift somewhere.

So if this is true, Sky World HD customers will be paying the same, but will get free ESPN?

You are thinking of ESPN America which forms a part of ESPN channels. ESPN broadcasts Scottish English (Premier League) German and Italian football. Guiness Premiership rugby, England U21 internationals, FA Cup, Motor Racing, NFL, NBA and international football incl European championship qualifiers amongst others...

Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

my packs i think are movies sports er news pack and gold channel pack for likes of uk gold now if this turns out to be the package i dunno if its worth it because it could end up more exspensive why couldnt they do away with the 10 pound hd option instead of having espn the only time espn would be used is for football but even that i dont bother with.

Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

It seems it is a crafty way to try and encourage more people to sign up to ESPN as Sky know that they have just 23 Premiership next season they are going to struggle to get people paying for the channel if they are only interested in that league.

If I have all the channels bar the kids and news ones and don't tale ESPN either so I will have to get the calculator out when this becomes official. I do have HD and wouldn't find replacing for second standard box with a HD one.
