Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

Yes sky is very crafty as they are hoping more peoples will have espn because of extra english premier league matches and england football international matches (not sure if european championship of all England away matches will be on sky sports channels or on ESPN channels)

I don't need espn as it part of USA games on it. But Cheeky of them to add espn to qualifty no HD charge if taken skyworld, hd pack and espn to save you 10.00 off (but espn had gone up 10 in 1st September)

Might have to look at virgin media this september if they can offer cheaper sky sports but no HD yet on their sport channels. But their espn are Free.

From 3rd January 2011 sky will increase 2.5% on vat as the government new 20% vat come into force.
Don't know anything about the HD pack changes but I'd take them with a pinch of salt. Some of your prices are incorrect. There are no packages that end 50p on the new price structure. ESPN haven't announced a price rise either AFAIK as its currently 9 with the sports pack.

Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

I had asking sky if the HD no charge fee are including in the multiroom such as an extra HD box eg: 2 boxes of HD box will it be free of charge of HD. They say no, you only have 1 HD in the 1st box as a free of charge but only if you are subscription to HD pack, sky world, sky sports & movies pack with espn as well, so the first box will be 0.00 on HD pack, the 2nd box of HD will be charged 10.00 plus multiroom charged 10.00, so it will be 20.00 instead of 30.00 (saving of 10.00 off)

      Re-read my post.

1 mix + sports1 or 2 = 31 which doesn't fit with what you've posted. If you have any mixes then the first sports pack is 12 extra. full sports mix is 20 extra.

Re: Sky new prices from September 1st

Ok I can now see what has happened, to get extra money Sky and Espn have setup a deal with Rugby like they have with the football. What a crock Espn have now got 43 Rugby Premiership games where as before Sky had them all, Espn and Sky are going to share the Autumn Inter. the home unions paly away plus from next season games from Super 14's and Tri-Nations will be on Espn. If Sky keep on doing this then I think peeps are going to get fed up with having to pay another fee to watch games they could see on Sky. Lucky I live in Welsh and the Welsh Autumn Inter are shown on S4C.

Thanks for the info, 10 for what would be two HD subs isn't bad I suppose.

I think you will find that this had nothing to do with Sky and is the European Union again just like with the Premier League football. Sky are no longer allowed all the games and that is why next season just like this past one, ESPN will showing some games and besides it is for the relevant Rugby authorities to decide who should show the games and not the broadcasters themselves.

I get the mag so my letter will come with that as per usual but to get a letter on possibly the 31 August to tell you the price is going up the next day is a bit off. Why can't these letters and emails go out at the same time ?
