Are you going to give it a shot then? I dont think I will bother as it will be only 23 games from 2010 season

What about the FA Cup and England rights that Setanta held?

I read somewhere that the rights had reverted to the FA and were to be re-sold but it's all gone quiet since then.

      No buyers?!?

As far as I know, the England and FA Cup rights went to ITV as they were joint holders with Setanta

Would like to see a list of the fixtures first before i decide. As you say though it might represent good value this season but not the following with only 23 live games

I could be tempted if they start broadcasting the live Sunday Night Football NFL game in HD as well as the Premiership footy. If they did some kind of advance purchase deal like Sky with Prem Plus - 50 for the season if you bought by the end of August then I would definitely be interested.

Nothing on the FA website since this:

      TheFA.com - FA Statement

which culminates in the following statement:

"We remain confident in the strength of these fixtures and expect significant interest from broadcasters wanting to pay for the rights to partner The FA and the England teams."

Well if no one is interested, and ITV have not picked up the rights, I'll chuck in 20 and buy them myself

It is worth it if you are interesting in the American sports and stuff that they are going to show on the new channel but if all you are after is the football then it doesn't really seem to be worth it.

The Scottish football rights still have not been sorted, Sky and ESPN have put in a joint bid and it will be a surprise if their offer is not accepted so there might be a bit more football on there.

Personally I am more interested in the IPL cricket that Sentanta used to show although I never saw it as I refused to subscribe to them/
