      Re: F1 coverage?

I guessed so, because in the skysports webpage in F1 there is no Live on sky option but I wanted a confirmation. Thank you.

I can't wait for it to start.

I bet James Allen is absolutely gutted

The BBC have done it right from what I can tell. Something for us all - Even the old theme music.

Its funny really, as when we went to Silverstone about 6 or 7 years ago, all the cabling for ITV was done by the BBC anyway. (Well BBC vans were picking it all up afterwards)

Same here. I am already impressed with the F1 section on the BBC website.

Although I am wondering how the FIA will try and stitch it up so Jenson or Lewis won't win.

Also looks like Lewis will have to move again as Switzerland has signed up to a new treaty no longer making it a tax haven.

      Re: F1 coverage?

Ah and there we have it with the "wins only" rule.

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Formula 1 | GP wins will decide world title

Makes the whole points system meaningless if it's only going to be use in the event of a tie, so how many shunts and deliberate pushing off's are we going to see then?

      Re: F1 coverage?

What will be worse is that you are going to see leading drivers slowing down to be passes by their team mate as winning is now so important, at least when there was only a couple of points advantage in winning it was not as important to win.

This will see teams who have clearly picked their number one driver (Renault and Alonso spring to mind) doing this from the first race.

It is now a team of two drivers with one that must take the win, even at the detriment to the other. If one driver has a couple of wins more than his team mate then there battle is over, the guy with the two wins will be given preference. The amount of people who complained last year when Ferrari slowed to let a clearly slower Massa past, and that was only for two points.
