As I say, its the EU's fault. If they hadn;'t got involved, SKy would have won the rights again.

We were Prem+ viewers too paying 50 or so for all the games, it was really good as you knew where you stood, but with this ruddy Setanta-and you've to pay set up fee before owt else.

Why can't the EU keep their ruddy noses out of our stuff? or if they've GOT to stick it on, do it with summat worthwhile, like bloody BT's monopoly.

I must be one of the few people that think Setanta is pretty decent value for money.
I mean as a football fan I get the extra Premiership matches, as well as matches from Germany, Holland, France, Portugal and South America. Add to that the fact they are signing some of the big boxing matches and I think its a fair deal.

      Re: Sky v setanta

I`ve been told that you can drop Sky Sports 2 & 3 from the Sky Sports Package (even on a monthly basis if you like golf/ cricket)) and save about 8 per month (96/year). You can then subscribe to Setanta at 10 per month for the Prem season, say 10 months (100). You`ve then got practically all the Premiership games at roughly the same price. Can anyone confirm?

Setanta is now 12.99 a month nut if you do scrap it you have to give them 30 days notice in writing. Ive kept it over the summer as there is darts on there now and not forgetting my precious Arsenal tv.

      Re: Sky v setanta

I Like the games that "Sultana" offer however i grudge paying them the extra couple of quid we now have to pay beause thier Picture Quality is really poor on alot of the matches. A good example of this was a foreign game (can't remember what championship/competition it was) but Sentanta were showing it live and the picture quality was poor. Everyone on forums etc blamed the local host broadcaster yet highlights and news clips on other channels from the same local host broadcaster but being shown on bbc/itv\sky etc.. just blew the setanta away..

Then there is the whole issue of HD, Why have they no plans to launch a HD channel!? I go from watching Sky Sports HD/BBC HD with perfect picture quality to what is basically some of the worst when i watch Setanta.

However it cannot be down to Sentanta peny pinching in the Satalite Bandwidth as other forums have proved they use the same as the other Sports SD channels... so it's something they do.. within thier network thats screwing it up.. I email them.. i get no responce yet this a premium service.. i expect a great PQ and Customer Services that actually respond!
