Sky Sports package changes from Nov

I am on a 4 mix plus SS1 (and SS3) package at 28 per month and just got a letter from Sky stating from 1st Nov my package no longer includes SS3 however I can have the full SS package (SS1-4) for 4 months at no extra charge! I wonder what offer people get if they are on the full package already?

I am on a 2 mix plus the full Sky Sports package and this is the first I have heard of this. So if I have understood this correctly to be able to view SS3 you have to subscribe to the full Sports mix ?

yes except for the next four months when the full package is available to me for 28 per month instead of 36 per month. I never watch SS3 anyway so it doesn't affect me all that much.

Don't forget to cancel after those 4 months are up or they will just bill you at the higher rate.

It seems odd that they are doing this now after all this while. I always thought that the likes of SS3 and SSX are overfill channels for SS1 and SS3.

I think the reason is that they adjusted the prices and my package went down from 30 to 28 and now they are getting their pound of flesh so to speak to discourage too many people going onto a 1 premium channel package. The pricing has always been to try and encourage everyone to take a full package rather than a cut down package in that the more channels you take the less you pay for the extra channels and the less time you have to watch the extra channels as well presumably!
