Potential problem with Sky HD box
Hi there,
I am asking a question on behalf of my father-in-law (now 98!!) who has been experiencing some issues with his Sky HD box of late.
Twice over the past month he has lost his picture, only to be recovered by doing a reset of his Sky box (switching off and on again from the buttons on the top of the box).
Question is – is this a normal happening or is it a sign that there is a problem with his Sky HD box?
From memory his box is about 4 – 5 years old.
Any advice is appreciated.

If the box is connected via HDMI it could also be an indication of a cable or TV fault. Is your father getting a black or blue screen? Does this occur only at power up or after it's been on for a while? Also, does he also lose sound?
