Re: Sky+ App Photos
Yeh thought they would be fun.
Trouble is though had to compress the uhd one a lot to get it to dispaly via the sky box, so not a true uhd test card, but nice to fool someone.

Re: Sky+ App Photos
Haven't checked, just guessing. Had thought image dimensions were critical factors. Clearly this is not the case so it maybe just file size. Have to check with Wire Shark whether Sky box abandons download if content length is too high.Yes interesting the effect compression has on the horizontal resolution grating particularly the fourth box down which looks like a moiré/interference effect.

Re: Sky+ App Photos
There appears to be a limit with filesize at around 150,000 bytes.
A file of 149,421 bytes is displayed whereas one of 151,117 is ignored though Wire Shark shows that the Sky box fully downloads both files.
Just wondering now if I can write a script to run a slide show, converting photos on the fly using Image Magick.

Re: Sky+ App Photos
The latest sky+ app finally works with sky+ photos on my Galaxy Mega.
See many more are now able to use their devices too that did not work before.
Some back end changes have happened

Re: Sky+ App Photos
Glad you are now having some success.
W.r.t. the Photo Display Order Problem discussed earlier in this thread, is this OK on the Galaxy or the same as the useless order discussed in those posts?
Another problem with the system, not discussed above, is the Album Display Order, which is random.

Re: Sky+ App Photos
Would be nice if it could pick up the photos/folder structure in the new Google photo app or dropbox.
It just seems to pick them up in the order they appear from the old gallery app locally.
The Google photos app is just amazing and Im using that across all my ecosystems now, just a great way to control and categorise easily, with a lot of help with Google
