sky multiroom and triax ddu

hi, i have a triax ddu unit installed and have just ordered multiroom, has anyone else got this setup -how do sky wire the second box in?
any advice would be appreciated

The second box is cabled direct to the dish. It does not run through a DDU. You should ask the installer to use shotgun cable to give you the option of upgrading the multiroom box to Sky+.

its wired as per diagram , so all 4 outlets from lnb are used???? it show just 1 cable from the ddu to the extra sky box, will 2 cables be needed for multiroom?

Sorry, I can't get my head around how this works when you are not connecting the dish to the Sky box. Maybe I am missing something.

ok all done , sky engineer was great, connected to new hd to the new faceplate and connected that to the ddu in the loft.

The DDU is functioning like the lnb and feeds the box whichever of the four signal polarities it needs. In the diagram it combines both sat1 and sat2 down a single cable to the pvr's on the rhs.

the only thing i've got to sort out now is that there's no 'i link' in the kids bedrooms
( its the end of the world they have to got to the conservatory to watch sky..lol)
was working before multi room fitted so can't be much wrong

For those who are not familiar with the DDU set-up (myself included). what equipment is fitted in the kids bedrooms and what services are working correctly? Do you have all the aerials shewn in the diagram and if so have you been able to check FM and DAB?

Not sure whether this is relevant but there is a note on the Installation notes which states: "NOTE – You cannot use Digital Links on Outputs 7 and 8 to control the ‘main’ Sky Receiver".

It sounds like the Sky installer has disconnected something he shouldn't have. Unless he was a 3rd party installer then they aren't really supposed to touch this kind of equipment.
