Can sky be trusted
I was given free sky movies for a month, supposedly for signing up to sky talk and bb, the month is up in three days, though I asked the chap on the phone 3 times if I need to phone and cancel, three times he said no it will cancel automatically at the end of the month, can I trust it will or do I need to cancel it.

Re: Can sky be trusted
I would not trust that the process is automatic.

Re: Can sky be trusted
I wouldn't trust it either as usually it is up to the customer to cancel a package or a promotion like this.

Re: Can sky be trusted
You have to give 31 days notice for any change to take effect so be prepared to fight your corner if you think you have been misinformed otherwise you will be charged.

Re: Can sky be trusted
Well as it was a one month free trial don't think they will be able to legally hold me to a one month cancellation period.

Re: Can sky be trusted
It would have been in the T&Cs when you started the free month's trial.
Everyone else posting on this topic previously has mentioned this and all seem to want to cancel so that they don't get charged for it are the month is up.

Re: Can sky be trusted
The offer applied to the account is 2 months free to cover the customer in case they don't call until the end of the first month to give their notice.
Additionally, the advisor can send a 1 month downgrade e-form to get it removed after 31 days when they do the upgrade, which this sounds like has happened.

Re: Can sky be trusted
Have just logged into my online account and it says, 30th October downgrade from entertainment and movies to entertainment. So I assume they have it in hand, so maybe the person on the phone was correct.
