      sky sound loss

      Hi, I have an issue which is bugging the hell out of me. when I change from normal TV ie antenna, to sky dish the sound level reduces so much I have to adjust sound levels by as much as 50%, does any one else have this problem, and is there a fix for it .(sky is quieter)

      The Sky box doesn't have any adjustment for this though some makes of TV (recent Philips and Panasonic though there may be others) have an adjustment within their menus to balance sound level from external inputs to match the volume of internal sound. You may find that the volume level of HD channels is slightly higher than their standard definition counterpart.
