Engineer visit=new box?
Quick question, my sky + HD box is out of warranty, and we don't have sky insurance.The box is playing up a bit, if we pay for an engineer visit (£69?) and they find a problem with the box and it needs replacing is that covered under the price of the visit or would it be visit + price of a replacement box (£149?)

You can pay £65 for an out of warranty service call which will include a refurbished replacement box if necessary, and you get a 3 month warranty. Currently Domestic and General (Sky's extended warranty business partner) can offer you a 12 month warranty and the service visit for £65 - they have a Sale on.
