Re: Sky TV price increase on 1 September 2013 by up to 10%
I've just emailed them about my subscription to find out whether I'm paying too much, as looking on the website Entertainment Extra + looks equal to Entertainment Extra plus HD, but I'm paying more than £32 + £11.25 for multiroom (£47 is what they are charging me). I think I will seriously be looking at what to keep when the charges go up in September, as looking at what I pay for, I could downgrade to Entertainment (£21.50 now), and still get all the channels I watch now albeit in SD and do away with the multiroom (wife only watches terrestrial channels). When you are on a pension you have to count the pennies

Re: Sky TV price increase on 1 September 2013 by up to 10%
I need to run some tests with my Smart TV as it allows me to record programs. Once I know exactly what it can and cannot do, I can make a final decision on whether to cancel all of sky tv or not.
Surprisingly, my family are ok with the idea although not over the moon.

I've had a letter as well. Binned it now but i think that it said +50p for EE+ and that Sky Sports (which I don't have ATM) would rise by £1. I could be wrong though

Re: Sky TV price increase on 1 September 2013 by up to 10%
I've still got my letter.
Here's the table:
E - no change
EE or EE+ - £1.50 more
SPORTS (1 or 2) - no change
SPORTS PACK (1 & 2) - £1.00 more
MOVIES (1 or 2) - no change
MOVIES PACK - (1 & 2) no change
HD PACK - no change
MULTIROOM - £1.00 more
Go extra is now available as part of multiroom subscription.*
MUTV, CHELSEA TV, MGMHD - no change
*If you are already a multiroom customer, you can opt-in to receive it at wwwsky.com
If you currently pay for both go extra & multiroom, you'll see a reduction in the july or august bill.
If you end multiroom subscription after taking go extra, you'll then pay standard price for go extra.Last edited by gymno; 13-07-13 at 10:21 AM.

I'm paying too much, as looking on the website Entertainment Extra + looks equal to Entertainment Extra plus HD

Only those who had the full HD Pack before EE+ was launched can get the F1 channel (unless you have Sports of course).
Anyone who now joins Sky will only get the F1 channel when they subscribe to the Sports pack. This is also true for anyone upgrading their packages.

Re: Sky TV price increase on 1 September 2013 by up to 10%
Just to correct your post slightly:
E - no change
EE or EE+ - £0.50 more
SPORTS (1 or 2) - no change
SPORTS PACK (1 & 2) - £1.00 more
MOVIES (1 or 2) - no change
MOVIES PACK - (1 & 2) no change
HD PACK - no change
MULTIROOM - £1.00 more
Anyone with a "price freeze" offer will lose up to £1 of this.
Most people with a price freeze will not be aware of this as Sky chose not to show this discount on people's bills. It is viewable to advisers looking at your account but not to customers on their billing view.

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying.
Would've been nice of them to have mentioned that in the letter.
Then again, i guess they didn't expect me to post it on the internet lol

Double OUCH!
I suspect that you were advised about the 6 month limit, but it may not have registered.
