Microsoft and Sky in talks to sell discounted Xbox One with TV subscriptions

According to this article on Neowin.net, Microsoft has been in discussions with Sky aimed at securing a deal whereby Sky would sell the Xbox One to its customers with its TV and broadband subscriptions, with the device being made available to subscribers "at a hugely reduced cost".

It will be interesting to see whether this story is true and whether it will be offered to existing customers or new customers only.

Re: Microsoft and Sky in talks to sell discounted Xbox One with TV subscriptions

I have no different knowledge on this, but the Xbox One is a HDMI pass through box, so given Sky's history of having a close relationship with Microsoft then I wouldn't be surprised if there are new Apps launched exclusively to Xbox.

Obviously any NDA would mean both parties denying this until ready to launch.

Furthermore Sky doesn't usually publicly announce a new service until it is ready to go to on sale.

After today's revelations, i wouldn't have an xbone if they were giving it away:
microsoft kills game ownership & expects us to smile

Last time they shipped a console that didn't work by accident. Here's one that doesn't work on purpose.
I just hope sony don't go down the same road...

      Bet they do though.
