Re: 2TB Box
This post: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-h...tml#post411805 suggests that the £49 offer is only for non HD subscribers, willing to subscribe to the EE+ package.
Otherwise it's £149.

Re: 2TB Box
Makes no sense that been paying the £10.25 charge for ages now yet it u havent paid it u get a cheaper box, I will not pay £149 for it as that is robbery, i cant begin to imagine the thousands i have paid sky over the past 15 years and when i need a new box i get ripped off.

Re: 2TB Box
You've got a point.
Have you checked your 'my sky' page at sky.com?
You never know, there might be an offer there. I had one once.

Re: 2TB Box
Personally, if i'd been a subscriber for 15 years, never asked for any special treatment & currently had a broken box, i'd give them a (nice, warm, friendly) call.
I'm not joking.
In my experience, (& not just with sky) if you actually get to speak to someone & explain how you feel, as opposed to what you think, positive outcomes ensue.

Re: 2TB Box
Just to get things straight, you have a functioning Sky+HD box and a broken Sky+ box and you don't have multi room, but you want Sky to replace your broken box with a new 2Tb one for £49? That's hardly likely.
If you take multi room you can get a 2 Tb box for £49, provided you take or have the HD pack.
If you want to upgrade your HD box, its £149 plus p&p for self install. No way round it I'm afraid.
Sky+HD 2TB box: £49 for Sky TV customers taking Sky Entertainment Extra+ or existing Sky+HD customers adding Sky Multiroom (£10.25pm per box). Existing Sky+HD customers are entitled to one £149 box,
