    phone line

    This is a discussion on phone line within the Sky & Sky+ TV forums, part of the Other Sky help and support category; as i dont use interactive services do i need to keep the phone line connected...

      phone line

      as i dont use interactive services do i need to keep the phone line connected

      I think you are supposed too for the first year, but I never connected and no problems

      if you have multi -room you have to keep all boxes connected

      Additionally, if you like to order PPV events or are likely to download content from the Sky Store, it would be easier/lazier to leave the line connected.

      The STB will be asked to contact the Sky system periodically to check that it is in the UK and to let it know if you have had any PPV events/films/etc. that needs to be added to your phone bill.

      If the telephone line isn't connected, the STB will know and you will need to call Sky for authorisation and I think this costs a little extra too.
