Moving Sky+ box and TV
Hi can anyone help with some advice. I need to move my sky+ box and TV from one side of the room to another to accommodate a new couch. To do this I've tried adding (splicing) an extra 5m of satellite cable into the existing length but once connected I didn’t get a signal. I’ve removed the spliced cable and reconnected the original cable and got the signal back. Is the problem with the connection? Do I need one continuous length of cable? Is this a DIY job? Help!

Re: Moving Sky+ box and TV
Yes it's a DIY job, but with the correct gear. You need to join the cables using a F-barrel ( coupler ) and two F-connectors. You can get these locally, or see F plugs and TV leads connectors for more.
