      Possible to record red button??

      Is it possible to record from the Red Button?? I know that the red button is on a separate channel on Freeview.

      Simple answer is 'no you can't'.

      All red button services use different transponder feeds and as these don't appear on the Sky EPG you have no way of recording them.

      After the Olympics the BBC is to drastically reduce the number of interactive red button services to save money. So the choice will be significantly less in any case.

      As the Beeb spends 4,000,000,000 each year the reduction in output to save about 1,000,000 seems really odd when they should be showing viewers better value for money rather than worse value for money. But then again the Beeb thought the coverage of the River Pageant was very good so I don't think we should assume they know what they are doing .
