Can anyone please help me with a question about why some times on the universal channel the programmes that i watch will make one hell of a crackling noise ( the sound is that bad i keep thinking the sky+hd is about to blow up) and then the programme will carry on playing ?
sorry if this sounds confusing but i have tried sky customer services and they couldn't give me a answer at all

I would first be inclined to check your wiring.
How are you listening to the sound? Is it coming via the HDMI lead or one of the other sound outputs?
