      Re: VGA cable

If you only have a VGA output on the computer, then you will need to connect it to the TV's VGA input.

You will also need to connect the sound output from the PC to either your TV or surround sound.

You could have a S-VHS output on the PC. If this is is present then you could connect using a S-VHS cable or a converter and a single phono plug-phone plug lead. Alternatively, you could use an adaptor that plugs in via the Scart socket.

If you have a good quality PC (i.e. fast processor and good memory) you may wish to consider a HDMI connection. If you don't have a display card capable of displaying HDMI, do some research on USB adaptors which can output to HDMI.

The images I have used are to illustrate my answers. There are a whole range of different products available for each option with various price ranges for each.

      Re: VGA cable

No problem. I trust one of those will work for you.

That last one - USB to HDMI looked quite a nice idea for laptops, for example. I've just looked it up in Amazon:

      http://www.amazon.co.uk/DisplayPort-...3228276&sr=8-8

A little cheaper: StarTech DisplayPort to HDMI Video Adapter Converter: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

A lot more expensive is this one: usb to hdmi adaptor convertor for laptop pc to lcd tv: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

This one looks even more interesting although it is limited to 720p: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Q-Waves-Wire...3228276&sr=8-1

There are other products available to allow you to connect via a USB port to a HDMI port. Please search Amazon or Google for a more comprehensive list. Do check out the reviews.
