Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
On the upstairs tv, the scart socket you plug the receiver into will be labelled.
Usually they're called AV1, SCART 1, EXT 1 etc.
That's the channel you'll need to put the tv on.
Some things worth checking:
The rca > scart converters are specific to transmitter & receiver, so make sure each is at the correct end.
Also, try setting 'Scart Control' to ON in the sky box picture settings menu.
Press services, right & scroll down. Press green to save.

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
If there are channel selectors on the send/receive units, there are on mine, make sure they are set to the same channel.

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
Although it won't check your upstairs TV you can check everything else by disconnecting your downstairs TV from the Sky box and reconnecting it via the video sender/receiver.That way you don't have to keep going up and down stairs until you know that the sender & receiver are on the same channel and all adaptors are correctly connected.

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
I am new to this forum and need some help. I have a special needs daughter and bought a NIKKAI MODEL : A86KH 5.8Hz Audio / Video Sender. I connected the transmitter up to the Sky box in my son's room . Using the 2 SCART connection. The other scart connection is plugged into the TV. I then connected the reciever to the Samsung LCD TV via the SCART and selected source on the TV - EXT ( has the picture of the Scart) all the other sources are PC , Componet , AV . Using the Sky remote it does change the sky box in the other room but I am receiveing no picture or Sound. Message comes up saying check the connection. Can somebody please help me as my daughter is due home tonight and would like her to watch thew Sky in her newly decorated room. SAhe is in care in Devon UK and comes home about 7 times a year and that is why did get multi room. Hope somebody can help. Thank you

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Check that the scart connections at both ends are plugged in properly. You could also try swapping the scart at the hd box to input 1. Another thing to check is that most of the time av senders have a switch to try different frequencies/channels usually labelled like 1/2/3, if you can find this try changing it and make sure both ends are set to the same frequency/channel. If all else fails try a different scart lead.

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
Just to add to what Hedgehog has stated, check too that the Scart pieces are at the correct end.
With the units I have the Scart pieces plug into the Transmitter or Receiver units and it is possible to get them the wrong way around.

Re: Audio/Video Sender with Sky+ HD?
i wish to watch sky on my wall mounted kitchen tv using a video sender that is usb powered because space does not allow to use the rear scart.
I have found a IO Gear that would do this, but its £200 ish. Anyone know of an cheaper alternative? Remember it must be USB powered.

A quick Google doesn't appear to produce any further results. I think that you may be unable to find what you are looking for the Paul161157.
Could you not fit a short extension lead with two sockets to feed both the TV and a video sender?
