    Bad signal and low volume

      try the other thing isitme just said, you have been trying to code for the newer boxes.

      For a white Sky+ box, press Services, 4, 0,1,Select, scroll down to RF output channel and change it to 57 (Should be clear from the St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Crystal Palace transmitters), scroll down to save and then re tune the TV.

      That explains why the HD code is not working

      thanks guys, looks like the box is the trouble, i can change the setting to 57 but can't save the setting, maybe a new HD box is what i need. thanks for all your help.
