Error Message - No satelite signal being received

We havent used the sky box for so long since getting this error message. Now my son is older he wants to watch it. I know its not the box as this works in my other room. We have swapped the scart and power lead and the cable that goes from the wall into the back of the box. Any ideas as we are paying for this and have been for years but now we need to watch Sky we are having no joy.

      Thanks Abbey

Re: Error Message - No satellite signal being received

If the set top box (STB) works on another satellite feed, then you need to examine the coaxial cable and work gradually towards the LNB.

Start with the simple checks and hopefully you can find out what the issue is.
      • check the F-Plug is secure and that there is a clean shiny core to go into the STB
      • is the copper shield showing and dis-colourisation from corrosion?
      • examine the coax for and sharp bends or parts which now flex too easily
      • at the same time check the entire length of the coax for any breaks in the outer plastic sheath

At the LNB, provided that you are able to reach it safely:
      • again check that the F-Plug is secure and connected properly to the port on the LNB
      • swap the connector to another port on the LNB

Is the cable you are using connected to the dish?
