      Losing signal and failed recordings

Hi, for the past week we have been having trouble with both our sky boxes, a sky+ and a sky hd box. Although the Hd box is the worst affected.

The screen goes blue and we get the message about no satellite signal being received about 3-4 times a day. The message disappears and the picture comes back after about 30 seconds and whenever i check the signal in settings everything it fine with all bars being 85% or more. Im also getting failed recordings on the hd box about 50% of the time.

Any advice on what i should be checking or what might be wrong?

      Thanks, nick

Could be tree's have grown taller into the line of sight between the dish and satelite. If that is not the problem looks like a dish alignment or LNB problem as both box's are affected.

Might be useful if you posted the Make & Model numbers of both boxes, and how long you've had them.
      Panasonic TX-P50G10B, Onkyo HTS 3305, Sky+HD Thomson 4E3007 (with upgraded PSU & WD5000AVDS HDD),

Another "fly-by" poster. I expect one Digibox is a Thomson with a failing PSU.
