I don't think so - the dish has been in place for 11 years and it would take more than a brush with a feather duster to move any part of it

Turns out this was sound advice as the Sky engineer decided the same when he came out to upgrade the box. New dish, quad LNB and twin cable all installed so I will never know whether the spider caused the problem! Originally Posted by dms05

A spider inside the LNB horn can cause a problem. A spider outside can't - unless it's the size of a golf ball and sitting on the horn entrance cap.
