Strange recording problem
Hello. I have recently moved my Sky+ box with an active card to spain, where I had a previous sky+ installation. And everything works fine except for the timer recording.
when I start recording a programme, and change to anotehr channel. all the other channels display the 'no sattelite signal is being received' message
likewise when i set the timer recording on a channel thats not the one curretnly being watched the recording fails. If i programme it to a programme on the current channel it records fine.
Any suggestions? I have tried resetting the hardrive but it didnt work. FYI the box worked fine in the UK. It was in storage and unused for two months.
Many Thanks

Re: Strange recording problem
Someone else will be able to confirm the details, but what size dish are you using and approximately where in Spain are you?
Also can you name some of the channels that work and don't work as this too will help to identify if it is a specific satellite that is not being received properly.

Re: Strange recording problem
Have you got two working feeds to the box? Check your Signal Strengths. If one of the Dish Input readings is nil, switch the box off at the mains, disconnect the F--connector, and make sure the centre core is not bent or has been snapped off accidentally.
