Intermittant 25 and 29 "No Signal" problem - Standard Sky digibox
Hi guys,
I'm new here and frustrated with this problem. I have a pretty old (10yrs +) Pace 1.3Z39 standard digibox. A couple of days ago it started coming up with the "no signal" message and an error code of either 25 or 29. It's not off constantly - sometimes it just cuts out for a few seconds, other times it might be for an hour or two. Then it comes back on but the signal breaks up slightly. Again, not all the time - sometimes it's fine.
I've been through all these forums and others, and tried all the fixes and strategies I can find, but the problem remains. When I disconnect the LNB cable and plug it into the TV with built-in Freesat, the Freesat picture is fine, so I'm guessing that means the problem isn't with the dish or cable. Is that fair comment?
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Re: Intermittant 25 and 29 "No Signal" problem - Standard Sky digibox
Since you seem to have confirmed that the coax, LNB & Dish are all fine, I would concur and suggest that you think about a new STB.
I would hazard a guess that your TV is also a HD ready or full HD TV. This being the case, navigate to the Sky website and log in to your 'My Sky' page and see what options you have available for upgrading to a Sky+ HD STB.
Since you currently have only one feed, it might be suitable to book a Sky engineer to do the installation. From reading other posts I believe that the engineer will need to change the LNB to a more modern one. The standard is to install a 4-port LNB.
When the Sky Engineer calls, he'll normally install a twin coax to feed the new Sky+ HD STB. I'd suggest that you ask if he can leave the single feed that you have & install the twin coax.
The single feed could then go to your TV & the new twin feed will go to your new STB.
