      Moving from BT

I'm looking to move my phone, broadband and TV to Sky from BT- I think my contract with BT is almost up so thats not an issue- does anyone know if I still need to get a MAC code from BT regarding the broadband or is it different if my phone is moving as well - some people say you do some say you dont, maybe an expert in here can help out!

      Re: Moving from BT

If you are also moving your phone you will not need a MAC. If you are keeping your phone with BT then you will.

Moving phone and broadband at the same time can sometimes lead to problems, with the broadband not being enabled for 10-14 days after the phone. I would advise you to move the broadband first by getting a MAC and giving it to Sky. When your broadband is up and running, then consider moving your phone. This will result in a few minutes to an hours downtime while your phone is moved.

      Re: Moving from BT

thanks for the tips and advice. the only problem that I might have is that the broadband from Sky is discounted when you take the phone line at the same time- might just have to be prepared for a few days of mobile phone internet!

You can take Sky Talk which qualifies you for the discount, you don't need to take the Rental.

Check the box for Free or Unlimited, this does not include rental.
