magic eye doesn't work with new HD box

      (first post)

      Hello,

I've just had installed a new Sky+HD box and now my remote will not work via the digilink eye for my 2nd tv set. It has worked perfectly for the last three years with my old Sky+ HD box.

I've turned the RF2 power on, the digilink LED is alight and the picture on my 2nd set is fine - just the remote will not work.

I've tried plugging the digilink directly into the RF2 socket and I have the same problem - the LED is alight but the remote doesn't work.

I've also measured the dc voltage from the RF2 socket which is approx 9V.

To test the digilink I plugged it into my old Sky+ HD box and it works fine.

Any advice will be gratefully received!

      Tnx.

Re: magic eye doesn't work with new HD box

I have exactly the same problem, Sky engineer visited today to replace my old Thomson Sky+HD box with the brand new one which apparently is made (or at least branded) by Sky themselves. No response from the box to commands sent through the magic eye. If I refit the old box, it works perfectly. I do hope Sky haven't messed up the design of the new box so this won't work!

You haven't stated the Digibox model number (on the label). There are various reasons why it might not work. See Sky magic eye Problems with your TV Link?
