      Re: sky packages from sept

Seems it will be 20 for lower package: found the link discussed at DS yesterday: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1490842

      snip...

From September Sky are changing the entertainment pack structure from the current 6 packs down to just 2.

Variety and Style & Culture will become the new Entertainment, and the rest will be Entertainment+.

      Entertainment will be 20pm, and Entertainment+ 25pm.

Supposedly there will be some kind of short term price freeze for those who have 3-5 mixes prior to the switch, but nothing concrete on that as yet.

      A highy retrograde step IMHO!

No sure how short term! Solid rumours suggest 1/month as maxmimum price rise for existing subscribers.

Thanks Brian, I just copied and pasted all that from DS, haven't a clue, no doubt sky will let us officially know at the last possible minute....

If this is the case, then I guess that a lot of people don't subscribe to some of the packs then.

I wonder how many young parents are going to subscribe to the News & Events pack for example?

      PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.

Ignoring Sky World customers I womnder how many take that mix anyway, I don't as the news channels I watch are free anyway and although Eurosport is in it I don't think it is worth it.

I have 3 mixes, two of which appear to be in the Entertainment Package and the other in the + package so goodness knows what this mean to me price rise and all.

This is correct. Some people will pay a maximum of 1 more, lots of people will pay less.

Is it only 50p less and only if you subscribe to 2 packs, i.e. currently 20.50 ?
