I assume that it is a Sky Player app for smartphones.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

It might be at no extra cost but the amount of data this will use could cause issues for some people.

      Re: Sky Go

If it's anything like the other online players available, it may only work on WiFi, although the BBC iPlayer iPad app now does work on 3G and as already mentioned does indeed hammer a hole in your monthly allowance which is why I suspect only the iPad app works on 3G as iPad tariffs tend to offer bigger data allowances.

I'm already managing to hit an average of ~750Mb a month on my iPhone using 3G as it is without using online players!!

      Re: Sky Go

I can see complaints coming in about people only being allowed to use this on two devices as can be seen in the Q&A:

      Re: Sky Go

Typical Sky, in answer to Why is Sky Player on Windows Media Centre closing? they say-

Sky Go is available on a range of devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, laptop or PC or Mac. Windows Media Center is no longer included however you can still watch via your laptop or PC.
That does not answer the question. Why could they not just say they have got out of bed with Microsoft and got into bed with Apple? I think 'Sky' will be a dirty word with MS who must have spent a great deal integrating the Sky Player into WMC.
