Sky+ & comtrend adapter
I have BT internet and sky multiroom.
In one room with the PC and a sky+ box, there is no easy way to get a telephone extension cable up there. I've been told by sky I need to get a phone line connected to the back of this box.
I have a comtrend adapter from BT which extends the line to the PC through the mains. Is there any way to connect this to my sky+ box also?

Re: Sky+ & comtrend adapter
You certainly can share the Comtrend adapter with more than one device.
You could either purchase a cheap 5-Port Switch (anything from £5)or you can piggyback an old router and use it's ports.
For the second option, see the thread below for more information:

Re: Sky+ & comtrend adapter
You can't share the telephone connection with the homeplug network. I am assuming that you have multi room where you must have a permanently connected phone. There are gizmos which will do this, but I am not sure if they will work on the same power circuit as homeplugs. Such as these -

You can get DECT wireless phone extenders eg [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/RTX-WIRELESS-PHONEJACK-Wireless-Phone/dp/tech-data/B000NJQHL4/ref=de_a_smtd"]RTX Wireless Phone Jack: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics[/ame] , make sure they're compatible with dial-up modems though.
